The Philippine Educational Theater Association’s (PETA) presents Karaoke Dreams”.

Written by Palanca awardee Vince de Jesus and directed by Maribel Legarda, Karaoke Dreams is about three Filipinos who have always wanted to work abroad and finally decide to pursue this dream.

One of them, Julie Nahuli, hopes to become a singer but becomes a victim of trafficking. Her friend Isko Nabisto successfully gets a job overseas but decides to stay on after his visa expires. Rudy Natsugi gets his passport and visa from a “friend” but realizes later that his travel documents are fake.

Watch it live as it scheduled to play on October 14-15, 2008, 8:30am and 1:30pm at Garden Oases Resort and Restaurant, Porras St., Obrero, Davao City. ADMISSION IS FREE!

The musical comedy is produced with the support of the European Union through the Philippine Border Management Project and the International Organization for Migration.
