Meeting with City High 01 batch mates
You were together for four years. You may not all know each other but each one of you exist in the same ground. Growing up, learning new things and even sharing the success of each one another. All the miserable things happened and all the happiness you have shared together.
Time passed by and you departed from each other. Not knowing if you will still see each other. As you walked on the streets, you’ve seen familiar faces. And yes you talked by your eyes staring each other signaling that you know each other without even opening your mouth and throwing a single word.
What am I talking about? Well, I’m saying about high school, our high school at City High. For four years that we were together in the same school. We shared with our classmates everything about childhood and even the mature things happening in the world. Then we separated our ways after graduation. Some who were close friends stay together in the same college school and even took the same field. Some chose to live somewhere out of town and some chose to find a job and help their family’s needs.
For ten years of being away from each other, definitely it is the time to look back, recall and appreciate the time spent together that I’m sure each one of us who were there at City High still bringing now. It is time for High School RE-UNION.
I can’t explain the feeling that after almost a decade of not seeing each other, there they are in front of me talking about what life they are in now. In fact, last Saturday, I’ve met some old folks and some I just knew by face.
It was a meeting for the coming re-union in 2011. Though there were only a few of us but I am certain that it’s the representation of the whole batch of our high school class. We selected committee heads and members. Some committed to contact their old batch mates and will invite to help for the preparation. All major stuff discussed including the date, the theme, possible venue and other details.
Though it was a short time meeting, but it’s glad that we’ve met. I am looking forward into our next meeting and more meetings to come. Hopefully even after the re-union, we will meet again and again even for the rest of our lives.
