Mindanao has viewed in a different manner on the recent Second Mindanao Bloggers Summit (MBS2) on the 25th of October 2008.

“Tuna Capital of the Philippines”, the General Santos City graciously hosts the significant event at the Family Country Hotel and Convention Center with some 100 bloggers coming from the different parts of Mindanao.

The  theme for the event has focus on “Mindanawon, Paminawon Intawon: Blogging the Mindanao Consciousness.” Its objectives are to strengthen the unity among bloggers in their drive to accentuate the untapped potentialities of Mindanao; to encourage bloggers to become more enthusiastic about the Mindanao consciousness; to utilize maximum potential of new media; and to foster the enterpreneurial spirit of Mindanawans.

Time check, its 11:30pm now. Almost eight hours to go and its MBS2 which will be held in General Santos City.

As of this moment, I have packed already my stuff and other necessary things needed for the trip. Summits pass: Not yet printed. Valid ID:check. Fare & Allowances: enough to stroll the whole GenSan…hahaha.

I’m still confused and could not have my final decision whether to pursue this trip or not. There are a lot of things to consider. Knowing that our parish, St. Jude Thaddeus Parish in Malvar Street (near Davao Doctors) is celebrating its 43rd parochial fiesta on the 28th of October. I am the incharge of the theater presentation on the feast. We’ll have our rehearsal tomorrow and on Sunday.

But I’ve been longing for this trip. I even took a leave on my duty in school just to attend this annual gathering. Prepare the necessary reports in the office and other concerns.

Eight hours is still quite long enough for me to have my final decision. I’m actualy planning to depart from Davao at 3am. Anyway Gensan is only 3 to 4 hours trip so I could still catch the first hour registraton at 7am.

I’m praying that miracles will occur tonight. So as to give myself also a break from the tiring works and duty.
